In this regard the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Nursing has organized a Webinar titled “Communicating Effectively For Patient’s Safety” on 26.08.2021. The webinar started at 11 am through google meet. Nursing students, faculties and staff nurses and Research scholars from nursing fraternity of various colleges has participated in the webinar. Mrs.R.Vanitha, organizing Secretary & HOD, Mental Health Nursing has unfolded theme of the conference. The scientific session was presented by, Dr.C.Irenelight M.Sc(N), Ph.D, Clinical care coordinator, GVN Hospitals, Trichy. The event ended with a feedback session and Vote of thanks was given by Ms.Nageswari, M.Sc Nursing I year.

COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown has brought about a sense of fear and anxiety around the globe. This phenomenon has led to short term as well as long term psychosocial and mental health implications for children and adolescents. The quality and magnitude of impact on minors is determined by many vulnerability factors like developmental age, educational status, pre-existing mental health condition, being economically underprivileged or being quarantined due to infection or fear of infection.. Many of us are facing challenges that can be stressful, overwhelming, and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Public health actions, such as social distancing, are necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but they can make us feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety.Learning to cope with stress in a healthy way will make you, the people you care about, and those around you become more resilient. Webinar On “healthy Kid – Healthy Future” (Let’s Get Ready For Next Battle Of Next 3rd Wave) (23.07.2021)

After witnessing a devasting second wave of the covid – 19 pandemic, India is now preparing to face a third wave of the virus. Experts have already predicted that covid – 19 third wave is imminent and they have wanted children would be affected by the third wave most. School closure, social distancing and confinement increase the risk of poor nutrition among children. Furthermore the pandemic has the potential to create new vulnerable children and countries must prepare to respond to growing needs for support. With warnings from experts, and a second wave that has served as a lesson on how prepared the country is, states are already taking steps to ensure there are arrangements in place to protect children. The main aim of this webinar is that to learn about prevention of children from Covid – 19 third wave. UG & PG students, staff Nurses from Government and Private Institutions, Principals, Professors, Associate professors, Assistant professors and Nursing Tutors from various colleges have attended the webinar through google meet. 174 candidates were registered. Guest speaker Mrs. M.Ramya Rathi Devi M.sc (N), Ph.D, Professor cum HOD of Child Health Nursing invited from SRM College of Nursing, Chennai. She presented the topic very effectively and the participants gained more knowledge about Epidemiology, Risk factor, Clinical manifestation, Diagnosis, Management, Role of Pediatric Nurse and Prevention of Covid – 19. The Session started sharply by 11 am with welcome address by Ms.R.Ambiha, Organizing Secretary, and then opening of the theme was done byMrs. J.Dhanalakshmi, Organizing Chairperson, and then the session handed over to Guest speaker. After the speech, feedbacks were discussed between the guest speaker and participants and the session ended with Vote of thanks, by Ms.Sathya, M.Sc Nursing I year student. Whole session was monitored by Ms. T.Saranya, Assistant Professor of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Nursing. 84 candidates were expressed their feedback as the webinar was excellent and they gained more knowledge regarding Prevention and awareness of Covid 19 to Children.

The 2019 novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has rapidly swept across the world. The epidemic of the COVID-19 has presented as a grim and complex situation, causing great impact on economy and society, and seriously interfering with ordinary medical practice. COVID-19 pandemic has created many challenges, but also forced us to re-examine how to provide more patient-centered high-quality care. The pandemic has changed how we deliver care, which also allows for re-evaluation and improvment of common practices. We should adopt some of the crisis' guidelines and habits to our new routine. The scientific session was presented by, Mrs.Elavarasi.R M.Sc(N), Ph.D, Associate Professor & HOD, Community health Nursing, IQ city Institute of Health Sciences, West Bengal and Mrs.Parameswari G.N.K Associate Professor, Vijaymarie College of Nursing, Hyderabad. The event ended with a feedback session and Vote of thanks was given by Mrs.J.Sathyapriya, Associate Professor, Community Health Nursing.
